Essential Functions: Applications are invited for two post-doctoral fellow/research associate positions in the laboratory of Dr. Fu-Shin Yu, in the Departments of Ophthalmology, Anatomy & Cell Biology at Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit?a revitalizing city in Michigan. The area of investigation includes corneal innate Immunity, wound healing and diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Several unique mouse models of human diseases, microbial keratitis, diabetic neurotrophic keratopathy, sensory nerve degeneration are used with different transgenic mouse models to discover new potential therapeutics for treating these diseases. The post-doctoral fellows are expected to perform above mentioned experiments with minimal supervision, analyze data, maintain accurate experimental record, and write manuscripts for publication. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with other research personnel in the lab and working in a team environment is expected.
