The Rockefeller University seeks a Research Assistant to join Mammalian Cell Biology and Development. Will work as a part of highly talented team of molecular, cell, and developmental biologists seeking an understanding of the properties of adult skin stem cells and how aberrations in their biology can lead to skin disorders, including cancers. Will be responsible for the design of novel DNA constructs for genetic engineering in primary stem cells and/or in mice, design and optimization of reporter constructs and primers for genotyping, and CRISPR/Cas9 cloning and testing mouse founder lines for proper gene expression. Pending the science and experience, will be involved in related research projects.
Bachelor's degree in science or higher required. Must have strong molecular biology skills in designing and making DNA constructs and a minimum of 2 years' of research experience working in undergrad or postbac labs.
