The University of California, Merced is a dynamic new university campus in Merced, California, which opened in September 2005 as the tenth campus of the University of California and the first American research university in the 21st century. A full-time postdoctoral research position is available within the School of Natrual Sciences in the lab of Dr. Anna Beaudin to study developmental immunology. The successful candidate will participate in research utilizing in vivo and in vitro approaches to study blood cell and immune development.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent in biology or a related field; a strong interest in pursuing biological questions related to hematopoietic and immune development; excellent skills in written and oral communication, as well as interpersonal and organization skills. Experience with mouse models, flow cytometry, cell isolation and culture, and cell-based assays is desired; knowledge of hematopoietic stem cell biology or immunology, with an interest in development.
Salary is based on the University of California Academic Salary Scales.
