The Research Assistant I will assist with the management, genotyping and analysis of a mouse colony used to study the progression of pancreatic cancer. Duties include performing molecular biology, biochemical, and cell biology protocols; as well as handling and anesthetizing mice. Part-time at 30 hours a week.
Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or related field.
Able to work a flexible schedule based on research needs and deadlines.
Must be willing to work in an animal related research environment.
Successful completion of the Institute’s background investigation.
This position requires constant seeing and working inside and frequent standing, reaching, adjusting focus, touching/feeling, grasping, writing, handling, lifting, carrying and pushing 0-20 lbs. and exposure to frequent potential hazards, animals and allergens.
