The School of Osteopathic Medicine and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences are located in Stratford, NJ; 8 miles from Philadelphia, 1 hour from the Atlantic Ocean, and 2 hours from New York City. The Department of Cell Biology and Neuroscience is housed in a modern, fully equipped research building on the Stratford Campus. The department is expanding in neuroscience research within the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and across Rowan University, encompassing both clinical and basic science investigators, and is currently seeking qualified candidates faculty positions at all levels.
Qualified candidates are invited to apply for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Neuroscience of Rowan University?s Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and School of Osteopathic Medicine, located on our Stratford campus (formerly part of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey). We seek systems/behavioral neuroscientists whose research utilizes contemporary anatomical, behavioral, physiological, cellular and/or molecular techniques to address fundamental questions related to monoamine networks, peptidergic pathways, cognitive or sensorimotor function, motivated behavior, or psychostimulant drug actions. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related field, a record of excellence in neuroscience research and publications, and demonstrate an ability to develop and maintain a funded research program that complements existing areas of expertise. The successful candidate will join a productive and highly collaborative faculty and will participate in graduate and medical education.
