Research Associate-Institute of Human Virology-(1700006F)
A full-time research associate position is available to participate in an interdisciplinary research program on the role of Fc-mediated effector function in antibody-mediated protection against HIV-1. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a highly collaborative environment that is pursuing this problem via a multi-disciplinary approach that involves structural biology, cell biology, and immunobiology.
Qualifications for the position include researchinterest and experience in fluorescence correlation spectroscopy, flowcytometry, confocal microscopy, Hydrogen-Deuterium exchange analysis ofantibodies and Fc receptors, and in vitro methods to quantify Fc-mediatedeffector function. The successful candidate is expected to have excellentinterpersonal/oral/written communication skills as well as personnel andproject management experience.
Preference will be given to Preference will begiven to candidates withexceptionally strongexperimental skills, a strong record of peer- reviewed publications, and ademonstrated commitment to basicresearch. Qualifiedcandidates should have adoctorate in chemistry/biochemistry, microbiology, immunologyor a closely-related fieldand should havehad atleast five years ofpostdoctoral experience.
