Associate or Full Professor (In-Residence, Clinical X, Adjunct, HS Clinical) Investigative Dermatologist / Cutaneous Biologist
INVESTIGATIVE DERMATOLOGIST / CUTANEOUS BIOLOGIST
The University of California, San Diego, Department of Dermatology (http://dermatology.ucsd.edu) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body. We are recruiting for an INVESTIGATIVEDERMATOLOGIST/CUTANEOUS BIOLOGIST.
The applicant is required to teach and perform research training of medical and graduate students as well as University service and may choose to have clinical duties that would include delivery of outpatient and inpatient dermatologic care with subspecialty focus possible based on the training and clinical experience of the candidate.
Applicants must have a MD, PhD or combined MD/PhD, be Board Certified/Eligible dermatologist or a PhD researcher, have active grant support and demonstrated ability to conduct a state of the art research program using modern techniques in molecular biology, cell biology, developmental biology, biochemistry, structural biology, immunology, computational biology, bioinformatics, genetics, and/or genomics applied to investigating the biology or diseases of the skin. Candidate must show evidence of their career potential through letters of recommendation and a publication record appropriate for their experience.
The ideal candidate will have an established history of developing independent research programs in an area of skin immunology, development or genetics.
Rank and series will be determined based on candidate's experience and qualifications. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
