Essential Functions: Post-Doctoral Fellow/Research Associate position available immediately to conduct research in the area of signaling mechanisms underlying glucose-stimulated insulin secretion from the islet beta-cell. These include studies of roles for G-proteins and protein phosphatases in islet beta-cell function and insulin secretion. Potential defects in these signal transduction mechanisms in the diabetic beta-cell are also being investigated.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Cell Biology/Molecular Biology is required.
