Essential Functions: Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Associate positions are immediately available. Highly motivated and qualified candidates are welcome to participate in a NIH funded study on altered pancreatic beta cell ER (endoplasmic reticulum) homeostasis in diabetes. Beta cell lines, diabetic mice and human islets are being studied with molecular biology (RNAi, CRISPR/Cas9), quantitative proteomics and integrative physiology approaches. Candidates are expected to lead projects, study related literatures, maintain detailed experimental records and prepare manuscripts for publications.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Cell Biology/Molecular Biology or related field is required. Experience in biochemical and molecular biological methods, confocal microscopy and small animal handling/surgery is essential. The lab has a working environment to promote career development of passionate and hard-working scientists. Salary is competitive.
