Conduct research on proliferation, apoptosis, epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition(EMT), invasion and metastasis in tissue culture celss as well as in mouse models. Main focus will be to identify genes/pathways as well as microRNAs that are involved in metastasis and drug resistance of a variety of cancers including colon, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancer Conduct research on the roles of cancer stem cells in cancer metastasis and drug resistance and research on cancer immunology, tumor microenvironment and angiogenesis using mouse models.
Ph. D. degree in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, biochemistry or related area.
Experience with human or mouse cell culture. Experience with genetic mouse models, immunology and/or bioinformatics is highly recommended.
